Colyn matriculated in Vredenburg and completed his accounting degree at the University of Stellenbosch, followed by his Honours Bachelor of Accounting Science and SAICA training contract during 2001. Colyn passed both of his qualifying board exams to qualify as a Chartered Accountant during 2003.

He joined HG Chartered Accountants (then Henri Grove & Partners) in 2000 as audit manager and became a partner in the firm in 2007.

Colyn enjoys seeing his clerks develop, learn and up-skill themselves. He always makes time for his team and support them in a positive manner.

Francois Adams CA(SA) Partner

Francois matriculated in Hermanus in 2003 and started as an article clerk with HGCA (then Henri Grove and Partners) in August 2004. After obtaining a BCOMPT degree and honours through UNISA between 2005 and 2009, he was promoted to audit manager. He completed his board exams and qualified as a chartered accountant in 2011. Francois is an official partner at HGCA since 2016.

Francois have been part of the HGCA family for 15 years and takes great pride in this company. He motivates his team by setting an example and getting “down and dirty” with them whilst still being their leader and mentor.

Riacco van As CA(SA) RA, Partner

Riacco matriculated in Cape Town and joined HG Chartered Accountants (then Henri Grove & Partners) in 1996 while studying part-time towards becoming a Chartered Accountant. He completed his Bachelor of Accounting Science and SAICA training contract after four years and his Honours Bachelor of Accounting Science a year later.
He then passed both of his qualifying board exams in one year to qualify as a Chartered Accountant, becoming the first trainee accountant of the firm on his way to becoming a Chartered Accountant. He was then appointed as an audit manager in the firm and made partner in 2006.
Riacco always strives to be a strong leader and good example to his team.

Melissa Martin CA(SA), Partner

Melissa matriculated at the DF Malan High School in Bellville in 1999 and joined HG Chartered Accountants (then Henri Grove & Partners) in 2000 while studying part-time towards becoming a Chartered Accountant. She completed her Bachelor of Accounting Science and SAICA training contract after four years and her Honours Bachelor of Accounting Science during 2007.

She qualified as a chartered accoutant during 2009 and was appointed as an audit manager in the firm. Melissa was officially made partner in January 2019. She has been part of the HGCA family for 19 years and takes great pride in the firm, her work and her team.
